Spanky's Shenanigans Yappy Hour

538 E Market St, Leesburg

Yappy Hour on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month, 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., on the back deck. The Humane Society of Loudoun County sets up a table with merch and a 50/50 raffle, and Spanky's donates 10% of food sales to the shelter. Dog bowls of treats on the deck. Seasonal: the series runs through October, with the Spooky Yappy Hour on October 14 as the season finale.

October One Vineyard Yappy Hour

7 Loudoun St SW, Leesburg

A monthly Yappy Hour on the last Friday of the month, 5 to 8 p.m., hosted with the Humane Society of Loudoun County at the downtown Leesburg tasting room. Free to attend. Bring a pet food donation and you are entered into a raffle for free tastings and glasses. Monetary donations go toward medical care for homeless and at-risk animals.

Caboose Brewing Co. Happy Hour

520 Mill St NE, Vienna & 2918 Eskridge Rd, Fairfax (Mosaic)

Happy hour Monday through Thursday, 3 to 6 p.m., on cocktails, mocktails, and craft beer. Dogs are welcome on the patio at both locations, so the human happy hour doubles as a dog outing. The Fairfax/Mosaic location runs a full coffee program too, if your dog outing starts early.

Lazy Dog Restaurant & Bar: Dog Meals For Your Pup

14333 Newbrook Dr, Chantilly & 11963 Fair Oaks Shopping Center, Fairfax

The menu includes "Dog Meals For Your Pup" with chicken and beef options, served on the heated, dog-friendly patio. The Chantilly patio has windscreens, a gas fireplace, and heaters, so it works year-round. Staff bring water for pups without being asked.

South Block: Puppy Bowls

Multiple NoVA locations, including Arlington, McLean, and National Landing

Puppy Bowls are on the regular menu: a banana and peanut butter smoothie bowl made for dogs, with the same no-syrup, no-ice, real-ingredients approach as the human menu. Order one alongside your own acai bowl.

Lost Dog Cafe: Dine for Rescue

Five locations across Northern Virginia, including Alexandria, Arlington, Fairfax, and McLean

The dog-themed pizza and sandwich shops send a portion of all proceeds to the Lost Dog & Cat Rescue Foundation. Dogs are welcome on the patios, greeted with water bowls, and the walls are covered in dog art. Eating here funds rescue directly.

A local dog bakery (est. 2000) baking fresh treats daily with human-grade ingredients, no added salt, sugar, or preservatives, plus custom pup cakes for birthdays. Ask in store about their rewards program for regulars. They also run grooming at both locations.
